Affordable designer wear — the concept is such an irony in itself, and all shopaholics would agree to this. However, we came across a wonderful Indian label recently that sells interesting designer clothing for affordable rates and if you don\u2019t believe us check out www.taurusshop.com<\/strong><\/a> and decide for yourself (a cotton maxi dress for INR 1,250 and a cape top for INR 750 INR, seriously we had to find the source !!!).<\/p>\n

To find about this in detail we traced the designer duo \u2013 Dhruv and Pallavi \u2013 the creators of label Taurus and discovered the catch.\u00a0The FDCI registered duo started working together in 2003, and in 2007 they launched the label Taurus. The designers believe that\u00a0\u201ca woman is never too busy to look beautiful\u201d, and that\u2019s why for them creation is a tangible proposition.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u00a0believe in creating clothing\u00a0for those, who believe that god is in the details and are confident of subtle styles and colors. For us e-retailing is just another channel\/ medium in today\u2019s time. We are focusing a lot on this sector because of a few advantages like unlimited reach to our audience across borders and the ease of shopping.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Pallavi<\/a>Taurus is a\u00a0pr\u00eat\u00a0line with our signature touch, mention the designers and elaborate \u201cA lot of factors go into planning, designing and development to carve out a distinct line with a designer appeal and at the same time maintaining the price low. We do take a hit on our margins to offer a great product at a great price, but that\u2019s\u00a0how we have planned to take it to a larger section of the society. The design studio focuses primarily on sourcing fine fabrics and accessories to create timeless pieces that have, in a short time, carved a niche for us.\u00a0We come out with 4 main collections in a year distributed\u00a0evenly\u00a0to offer something new every month. To handle bulk production, we are using a lot of techniques which can be handled and produced on computerized machines.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"tauras\"<\/a>Speaking about their current Autumn collection, the designers mention that it is primarily divided into two distinct lines \u2013 Monochrome and Indigo. \u201cIn the monochrome collection we have straight A \u2013 line silhouettes in maxis, dresses and kaftan tops. Kaftan Tops is a something very interesting as you just need to slip in and it makes its statement and you are good to go with minimal effort. Whereas, the Indigo line has a variety in terms of fabrics, which are mostly Rayon\u2019s, Modals and Georgette prints; concentrated mostly in peplum tops and shirts.\u00a0This collection is focused on top wear to be coordinated with denims,\u201d concludes the duo.<\/p>\n
