PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) is famous to rope in hot celebs for supporting animal welfare across the globe. The latest name to join the bandwagon is Harshvardhan Rane, who made a debut in Hindi movies with Sanam Teri Kasam. The actor is featured in PETA’s latest campaign that highlights the misery of elephants that are used for tourist “joyrides”.
\nHarshvardhan looks absolutely hunky in the ad as he stands bare-chested in chains next to the tagline “It’s Not Just a Ride. It’s Their Life. Elephants Used for Rides Are Beaten, Chained, Broken”. The Telugu film actor, who has previously starred in movies Thakita Thakita (2010) and Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013), mentioned, “Elephant rides are not at all joyful for the animals. I don’t think it is cool at all to apply force and make someone do something which they are not willing do.”
\nNow with a poster boy like that won’t you be listening to each word he has to say? So be kind and skip the elephant joyrides.<\/p>\n
